seed: Honor the Lord

01/27/2014

If someone said your name in anger every time they got angry, would it hurt you? If you don’t mean Oh My God I love You, you shouldn’t say it at all. When you say His name are you asking for His help? Are you honoring Him? In your excitement are you saying ‘God I love You, God I thank You?’ Stop cursing the Lord with every breath you take.

Exodus 20:7

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Leviticus 19:12

And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

Deuteronomy 5:11

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
